Bakery Shapes is a game that teaches shapes to young children, published by Tiny Thoughts (Android package app.tinyt.shoomis). This policy explains exactly what the app collects, what it does not, and what you can do about it. It is written for parents and guardians.
Information we collect
The app records anonymous usage events using Google Firebase Analytics. Every event carries the following, and nothing more:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| A random identifier created the first time the app is opened | To tell one anonymous installation apart from another, so statistics are not double-counted |
| Gameplay events — pages opened and closed, time spent on a page, buttons pressed, dice rolls, shapes answered correctly or incorrectly, levels started and finished, monsters collected | To understand which parts of the game children find easy, hard, or dull, so the game can be improved |
| Settings changes — volume and language | To know whether these controls are found and used |
| App version, session number, days since installation, and the time each event occurred | To interpret the statistics correctly and diagnose faults |
The random identifier is not a device identifier, not an advertising identifier, and is not derived from anything about your child, your device, or your Google account. It cannot be used to identify a person, and it cannot be matched to any other app. Uninstalling the app discards it permanently; a later reinstall is treated as a new, unrelated installation.
Information we do not collect
- No name, email address, postal address, telephone number or date of birth
- No location data of any kind
- No contacts, photos, files, calendar or other data on the device
- No microphone or camera access — the app does not request these permissions
- No advertising identifier. Advertising ID collection and ad personalisation are explicitly disabled in the app
- No free text. The app has no place to type anything except a multiplication answer on the grown-ups screen, which is checked on the device and never stored or sent
- No drawings. Monsters your child paints are saved only on the device and are never uploaded
Advertising
Bakery Shapes contains no advertising of any kind, and no third-party advertising or tracking libraries. No data from the app is used for advertising, ad targeting or ad measurement, and none is sold or shared with data brokers.
Purchases
The app offers an optional subscription that unlocks the remaining levels and monsters. Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. Payment card details are never seen by, sent to, or stored by the app or by us. The app records only whether a subscription is currently active.
The purchase can only be reached through a screen that requires a multiplication question to be answered, so a child cannot reach it alone.
Children
Bakery Shapes is intended for children and is designed to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation as it applies to children, and Google Play's Families policy.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The anonymous gameplay statistics described above are used only to improve the game. They are never used to build a profile of a child, to target advertising, or for any purpose other than understanding how the game is played.
Who processes the data
Anonymous usage statistics are processed by Google LLC through Firebase Analytics, acting as our data processor. Google's handling of this data is described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy. Purchases are processed by Google Play under Google's privacy policy. We do not share data with anyone else.
How long it is kept
Anonymous usage statistics are retained for a limited period and then deleted automatically. Data stored on the device — game progress, collected monsters, paintings and settings — remains only on the device and is removed when the app is uninstalled.
Your choices
- Delete everything held on the device: uninstall the app. This removes the random identifier, all progress, and all paintings.
- Ask about or request deletion of usage statistics: write to us at the address below. Because the data is anonymous we may need the approximate date and country of installation to locate it, and in some cases we may not be able to identify which records belong to a particular installation.
- Manage or cancel a subscription: in the Google Play Store, under Menu → Subscriptions.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting how children's data is handled will be reflected in the app's Play Store listing.
